Bed bugs are the most disturbing part of the household, especially when you don’t have control over their spread. These bed bugs can also travel with you; therefore, you must be careful as they can hinder your good night’s sleep.

It is better to stop this spread, which is only possible when you know its signs and symptoms.

This article will discuss the signs and symptoms of bed bugs infesting your house. If you see an increase in the spread of bed bugs, you can consult pest control such as Backyard Comfort & Pest Control and others to find long-term solutions to your issues.

What are the Signs and Symptoms of Bed Bugs Infesting Your House?

  • Bed Bug Bite: It is a common way of understanding the bed bug bite. These pests are bloodsuckers; therefore, they will reside where they can easily access your blood. The bites are painless, so you will not feel them when they are biting until they make a mark. The bites can be itchy and form a red mark or cause some allergic marks.
  • Bed Bug Defecation: The excretion of bed bugs is a good way to detect bed bug bites. You will find box springs under the mattresses; thus, you can find a bed bug infection in your house. Bed bug droppings are reddish brown, leaving marks on the mattresses.
  • Eggs and Exoskeletons: The bed bugs’ main speciality is that they shed their skin. So, if you find an exoskeleton near your bed or on the mattresses, it is a sign of a bed bug. They also hide in crevices, which is the place where they moult. So, you can find that it is the place where you will see small 1mm eggs.

How to Get Rid of Bed Bugs?

  • You must wash your bedding, curtains, and clothes with warm water and try to dry them in a hot place. It would help if you also kept the stuffed animals, pillows and others that cannot be washed under the sun or in a heated place where they can get rid of bed bugs.
  • You can use stiff brushes to clean the mattresses and remove all the signs of bedbugs.
  • Clean the bed area with a vacuum cleaner and put the garbage away from your bed area.
  • Repair cracks in plaster and glue them to get rid of places where the bed bugs can hide.

So, these are some signs and symptoms and suggestions to get rid of bed bugs. You can also get help from pest control agencies to find a permanent solution for your case.
